Tuna
In the Canary Islands it is possible to fish many species of yellowfin tuna, albacore, bluefin tuna and big eyes.
Sport fishing of the Tuna
The bluefin tuna is the one that first visits us in the year, approaching our coasts during the month of February, usually accompanied by groups of dolphins. This species gives us spectacular battles with the fisherman since they are specimens that range between 150 and 400kg.
From the month of March the temperature of our waters increases and the albacores approach the Canary Islands, they enter our waters in the west in the form of large schools and we are usually accompany all summer until the month of November, making many of our fishing days really exciting.
The large large eyes and yellowfin tuna (50-150kg) many times we have them throughout the year in our waters, although between March and November amount, also having a lot of smaller fish (20-60kg).
